One primary purpose for Internet access to to be able to obtain cataloging information from the Library of Congress.

Book reviews, databases, author sites, etc., allow you to provide good educational service.

If you are a librarian it would seem only natural for you to have Internet access.

How could you possibly have the knowledge of books and other library resources without having the instant worldwide communication that the web offers.

It seems as if your superiors are either shallow or old fashioned people.

Perhaps you should seek employment elsewhere, it does not sound like your present employer is ready for the 21st century.

Depends on how many porn sites you've hit. Documentation is ALWAYS key. What are you doing, who are you finding info for, are you doing research to improve your department's efficiency?

After the fact notes are not as good as contemporaneous ones, but better than none at all with other corroboration.
