I live in Brooklyn and can get to the city (or somewhere in downtown brooklyn or williamsburg) very easy. I need yarn to knit with and needles. I already know of string in the upper east side.

There are many knitting stores in New York City. Look in the Yellow Pages. I think there is one on Avenue "A," off East 14th Street.

If I get the name, I will post it for you.

There used to be a place on Essex near Delancey on th LES but I don't know if it's still in business. Try that neighborhood or the garment district in the West 20's or 30's near 8th the a lot wholesale fabric stores in those neighborhoods.
