I was fired from my job two weeks ago without any prior warning. I had worked there for just under 6 weeks. I had worked nearly half the day when my Supervisor says I'm fired and its her fault for hiring someone without more experience and only having a secretary to train me. She did pay me for the rest of the week. I'm a medical assistant. Is there anything i can do?

If it helps, I live in Maine

Not really. 6 weeks is usually the trial period in most jobs. She may have just come to realize that you weren't fit for it.

You can apply for unemployment comp. Six weeks of working there isn't likely enough time to get it, but if you worked somewhere else before, you'd probably be eligible.

If you mean is there anything you can do to get the job back, no. They have the right to fire you.

Never focus your own life on revenge or "justice".
There is no justice in this messed-up world.

Focus on placing yourself in a skillful position, where nobody can mess with you.

America is for salesmen (and saleswomen). Find something to sell, and sell the **** out of it. And then call up the person who screwed you, and let them know how much money you're making....

my 2 cents.

If your former employer is an "At will employer" then no. You just got the shaft.
