Sorry for asking, but it is a little close to home!!!! I want to be creamated! My bf wants his body sent home to be buried in his family plot.......My family doesn't have one. I want my ashes spread over the places that meant the most to me growing up......or I guess I could send them with him to be buried with his family.......Sorry, but we have to think about those things!!!

Don't be sorry for asking! A purrfectly normal human curiosity! I want to be cremated and my ashes...sprinkled over some of the places I have loved, and even some over my beloved cats burial place when she dies (That may sound weird, but I don't care.) I know this guy who had a special silver *coffin* necklace made that he kept some of his father's ashes in so that, "he'd always have his dad near him."

Cremation is out of the question for my wife - her worst fear is being burned. The very idea of it, even though she is dead, just creeps here out.

My sister-in-law on the other hand lost her mother when she was young. Going to the grave site on a regular basis was hard on her (dad made everyone go as it would be "good for them"). She wants to be cremated and have her ashes spread. She doesn't one any one particular spot to be associated with her - she doesn't want people to come visit her grave, etc.

My family has a cemetary where most of them are buried, though my dad chose to be buried in the town where I grew up rather than the family plot. Many of my wife's family are buried in a cemetary that, IMHO, is really a beautiful place. I think I would like to be buried there. But the family cemetary would be fine too. Cremate me. Turn me into "soilent green" or dog food - I don't really care. Actually, part out my body for anybody living that needs anything (heart, liver - whatever), and the rest can be properly disposed of in any way my survivers see fit.

Very sensible, and my remains are taken care of. It's what happens after I go, in the afterlife, that concerns me. I know I'll be in Heaven, 'cause the Bible doesn't lie, but will I see my family right away, or is there an Eternity of forms to fill out? Will I get all my fantasies fulfilled, or do I have to take a number? Will I see my favorite pets, or do they have a separate Heaven that people aren't allowed? Perhaps I should ask Mark Twain....

Hopefully I should b really old by then. I've actually experienced my first deaths in the family just recently, my Dad's parents in 2003 & my other grandma this year, & I'm 29. They're all crem8d. As 4 myself, I think I'll probably b embalmed, put in the soil & rot 2 the bone.

I'm pretty traditional, so I want to be buried in a nice coffin in a pleasant cemetary. I'd like to be buried somewhere beautiful and convenient to my family, so they would have a nice time visiting me ... although hopefully my spirit will be in Heaven ... if God can overlook what a jerk I can be sometimes.

I want to be surrounded by all the good people I had the great fortune of meeting, and all the good people that I didn't meet. I want to see all of these rapists, and murderers, and people who are out to gain something from another person's demise end up far, far away from me and my loved ones. Here on Earth that is not possible, no matter where you live.

I WANT my body to be shot into space, endlessly drifting throughout the universe. What WILL happen is I will rot in the ground while worms eat away at my flesh.

omg!
i know exactly how it feels...
i for one, love my life but sometimes i feel like i should plan out my funeral (excase anything ever happens to me) so my funeral is easier for my family & friends to plan out.
i asked my sister if i should start planning my funeral and she gave me really weird looks...
but it's not bad to start planning - is it?

anyways i'm going to be cremated too (because its part of my religion!)
