Why do people over look such a great and winning franchise team? The Lions have showed improvement and they have also showed why they might be the next super bowl champs this year.

Btw I get kind angry when people blame things on Matt Millen. He's a GREAT general manager who picks all the right players in the draft.

Lions 10-6 and Super Bowl Champs. : )

People doubt the Lions because they've watched them play. Mediocre is the word that comes to mind. And Millen is a joke. 10 - 6 would take a minor miracle and Super Bowl champs would require many sacrifices to the ancient gods of Olympus. Can't wait to see which wide receiver Millen drafts next year.

He spent 3 first round picks 3 years in a row on receivers for the quarterback he didn't have. Millen is terrible. The Lions are not a great winning franchise. I lived many years of my life there and it's nothing but a disappointment. Look at the last 4 years...it's a joke. This year they actually had a shot, but started losing before the tough portion of their schedule kicked in. Now they really don't have a prayer of making the playoffs and it's one more pathetic season you can add to your memories.

Look at their record again and honestly tell me Millen is great. you can't. And if you can, then you know nothing about the sport at all. The Ford Family needs to turn the reins over because they are incapable of putting quality people in decision making positions. Pathetic.

My goodness, I MUST be hallucinating...

Are you for real?

Great and winning franchise team? Hardly any playoff appearances in the modern era.

Might be the next Super Bowl Champs? I'm sure that Pats, Cowboys, Pack and Colts fans (plus fans of any other franchise that have a better chance than DET) will rip you to shreds for that one.

Matt Millen a GREAT GM who makes the right picks? Where are Carlos Rogers, Mike Williams, and all of the other busts he has selected?

10-6 and Super Bowl Champs? Umm...let's see. They've got the Cowboys (L), a resurgent San Diego (L), Kansas City (I'll give you that one, W) and Green Bay (L, oh when was the last time Detroit won at Lambeau? That's right, when SANDERS was still playing!!!!!!!!!!)

And don't get me started on your bigmouth QB who predicts ridiculous things and winds up the opposition. Can't wait to see what Newman does.

Conclusion: you should get a career in stand-up. That was the funniest question I've seen on here for a while!!!!!!!!

Haha. I'm a Lions fan but you are on something or joking.

They have won 1 playoff game since 1957. It was in the early 90s when they beat the Cowboys and got blown out by the Redskins on the way to their Super Bowl win.

Yeah they improved. When you win 2-3 games a year you have nowhere to go but up. Those 8-8 seasons of the 90s look pretty good these days.

They have an owner who has no interest in putting good players or coaches out there.

It was a good laugh though. Good job!

You are either related or a close friend of Matt Millen, because he has done nothing to improve that team,as for the Lions going anywhere, forget it,they fooled everyone at the start of the season by beating on the happless Bears, but now they're back to their old selfs

They may win 1 of their last 4 games..Kansas City.

Kitna will be proved wrong and not make his 10 win guarantee. They would have to beat the Cowboys, Green Bay, San Diego and Kansas City to get to ten wins. I would say the odds are 1 in a 100 that this happens.

After a 42-10 blow out at Minnesota, you ask why we doubt the Lions? funny.

I can't tell if you're being facetious. Anyone living in the real world would not give the Lions that much credit, let alone Millen. Maybe next year they'll get it together, but this year they are one of the biggest frauds in the NFL. Good luck next year

Matt Millen should have stayed in the broadcast booth. He was once a respected former star player & analyst. He'll be remembered as one of the NFL's most inept front office buffoons. W C Ford Sr needs to go with him!!

10-6...I don't think so. We will all find out that Kitna is not in fact able to see the future. Their early season went well, but like the Lions of the past, they are falling apart.

hey, enigmatica. wishful thinking! i wish they had drafted carlos rogers. if i recall, they didn't have a shot at him. it would have bolstered the secondary, one fragile part of this team. one of many. first half, cautious optimism. second half, same old thing. 6 wins is improvement over three, i guess. while i am biased in my love of michigan football, this team needs to draft jake long! they will not go anywhere until the o line is improved. kitna and the running backs cannot gain yardage while on thier butts.
