The hell with outer shells. Why are we concerned about whether or not we are cute,hot,norm,ugly....Why does it matter. Why can't you just be you?!

True.
I've done all my crying now, screaming at myself in the mirror 'I'm ugly!!!'

At end of the day, you have to make the most of what you've got; you were given those looks.
You have to accept yourself.

Because we all have bodies that are programmed to notice these things. It's gotten us through tens of thousands of years (or more counting our ancestors) and is a good way to determine health/usefulness of others in a harsh environment. No one wishes to have children born with disabilities or who are unpopular. Even animals do this as a rule, although there are exceptions, especially with social animals like us.

However we are at a great point in our history where we have discovered that all people are valuable and special. We relate to people as if we are all equals (even though the physical evidence is to the contrary). We should do this because everyone has their own special talent or ability to bring to the world. In this day and age if someone is only judging you by your "shell", well they are just acting like monkeys, to be immature about it. But you can't really get mad at them for it, they're just carrying out millions of years of programming, and haven't become as aware as a person (possibly such as yourself) who can see past those natural instincts. Hang out with people that can and continue to recognize the internal value of others!

I am happy to be just me. I could actually care less if people think I'm pretty, hot, norm or whatever. The only opinion that matters to me is my husband's and kids

Not everyone cares. Some of us only see what's on the inside. The shallow ones only see the outside. Me, I tend to see the goodness on the inside...or the badness.

well, scientifically, its in our brains to judge others based on their looks. nobody really cant do it. the media also brainwashes people to think whats beauty and whats not. what makes someone worthy and what doesnt.

but still, that doesnt mean we have to think less or more of them because of their appearance!

I never judge people by their looks. Looks come last. It's who they are that counts.
