Personally, yes. Then, they are aimed at seafarers, not the general public, so to speak.

If you're living relatively coastal, knowing where your weather comes from means you can check these forecasts and get a far better idea of what's heading your way than the normal weather forecast.

Yes, all you need to know is the sea areas [fishing areas] around Britain [Fisher, Forth, Lundy etc], when they announce falling it referes to barometric pressure, when they say eg. 8miles it referes to visibility.
Quite interesting really and if you live in a coastal town more accurate than your normal weather forcast.
