It is possible. I knew an English major who got into med school. As long as you take the required courses (Organic Chem, Anatomy, Calculus, etc) and take the MCAT and all that other stuff, you are qualified to apply to med school.
It is harder to be pre-med and a journalism major, instead of, say, an anatomy and physiology major, because there are no overlapping courses. However, med schools like people with different majors, because it is harder, and because they like a diverse student body (not 99.9% biology majors).

The question is whether journalism is considered an academic major which qualifies for medical school, rather than a pre-professional major for the profession of journalism. For example, English certainly qualifies as a major for admission to medical school so long as the applicant has taken the required pre-med classes. I would ask the admissions departments of several medical schools.

It is very possible. I have actually read (recently) several articles saying that med schools want well rounded students, so they are getting many from the humanities. That students just needs the required courses (on most uni sites it says a lot of bio, chem, calculus, etc).

Yes it is possible. You just have to take the required science and math classes: one year of chem, one year of bio, one year of physics, one year of math, and so on. Other then that, you can major in anything you want as long as you fulfill the med school requirements that they have on their website.
You have to do better in those particular classes and the MCAT though, because you have less science and math classes to make up your math and science GPA.

Well, it would depend on where u are... but it is possible because there is no prerequisite for medschool - if you take the medschool exam and pass it with flying colors and pass the interview - you get in. Although you have a higher chance of flunking out of medschool if you did not take any courses in science before...
