Why did it take decades to revise the # of jews down to '0' who allegedly died in the holocaust of WW I ?

Also as the holocaust of six million Jews in World War I was eventually revised to zero, the Jewish magazine FORWARD, November 25, 2005 is continuing to revise downward the number of Jews claimed to have been exterminated in Auschwitz from the one-time figure of nine million, to not millions, not hundreds of thousands, but "thousands" of "deaths," not exterminations.

I'm not saying that after the world congress of jews delcared war on Hilter in the 1930's w/ 40 k protesting in NY alone, that Hilter in return, didn't declare war on the jews. He most certainly did. He rounded up any and all non oath taking people living in Germany, placed them in internment camps, and put #'s on their skin. I believe we all agree this is pretty factual.

However, I'm questioning the amount of jews that died in the internmint camps. I realize that the family of jews or something to that effect, receive a monthly (?) check based on the total # of jews that died in the camps. So...

..if The World Almanac for 1947 states that back in 1939 the world Jewish population was 15,688,259. The Almanac's figures were supplied by the American Jewish Committee. Next the Jewish-owned New York Times of February 22, 1948 stated the world Jewish population for that year amounted "to 15,600,000 to 18,700,000 in addition to the 600,000 to 700,000 living in Palestine." How could the Jewish population increase so rapidly over the war years if they had lost 6,000,000 people?

And, according to the International Red Cross (IRC), when visiting the internments camps bring packages to the people in the camps, the IRC didn't mention anything about extermination gas chambers.

In fact, according to their records, in 13 camps, total # of jewish deaths is approx 271 K.

I suggest some of u get ur facts straight. After WWI jews stated 6 million jews were killed in that war. Decades later, that number went to '0'.

Then in WW II, the 6 million number magically reappears. Also, someone stated things about the IRC which differ from mine however they do not give any sources.

Also, Germany has already given over 1 billion dollars in reperations, as other Eurpn countries. Yes, people do receive monthly checks ....sry to burst ur bubble.

Also if my World Almanic differs from ur sources...kindly provide urs. otherwise, my stands as fact.

One significant problem with the population changes that you offer is that....wait for it....they come from completely different (and differently biased) sources! Sorry to burst your bubble.

Also, I am unaware of any payments made to ANY families as reparations for the Holocaust.

According to the International Committee of the Red Cross (which organization I assume you mean...otherwise you have some other problems) the "ICRC obtained authorization from the German Ministry of Foreign Affairs to send food parcels to internees in the concentration camps whose whereabouts it knew of. It had details concerning about 50 deportees, to each of whom it sent a parcel, and during the summer it received acknowledgements of receipt countersigned by the addressees. The ICRC subsequently managed to find out where other deportees were interned and it expanded its parcel-sending operation. By 1 March 1945, the ICRC had details on about 56,000 deportees, and by the end of the hostilities, 105,000. From the summer of 1944 onwards, the organization supplemented its individual parcels with collective shipments. In total, up to May 1945 it sent over 122,000 parcels to the concentration camps. But this operation did not succeed in reaching those deportees who were subjected to the harshest regime, nor did it give captives any protection from torture or massacres. The International Committee of the Red Cross thus continued its approaches to the German authorities, in order to visit the concentration camps. These approaches met with a categorical refusal."

As you see above, representatives of ICRC were not permitted to visit the camps, as you erroneously assert. I suggest you get your facts straight before posting such irrelevant drivel.

Adding:
1st - I did provide a source, the International Committee of the Red Cross itself. And I provided a link. It is *you* who did not provide a source for *your* assertions.

2nd - A large number of Jews probably did die in WWI, that however was not systematic genocide, and I am not aware that it was *ever* referred to as a holocaust.

3rd - Yes, Germany did make a lot of reparations payments. But not directly to Jewish families based upon deaths in the camps. The money went largely to the allied governments to help cover the costs of the war they picked. Unfortunately, victims of war rarely get compensated.

I'm not arguing with your poulation figures. But if you change sources (World Almanac in one case, New York Times in another) it is comparing two different things. Use the same source for both sets of figures.

You are such a liar! I googled the Jewish Forward and went to their archives for Nov. 25, 2005 and there was NOTHING MENTIONED about revising the numbers murdered in the Holocaust downward. You say ".....to have been exterminated in Auschwitz from the one-time figure of nine million..." Never did anyone ever say that nine million Jews were murdered and it didn't all happen in Auschwitz. I also googled the NY Times for the date of February 22, 1948 and there was NOTHING MENTIONED about the world Jewish population. There were 17 members of my family exterminated by the Nazis and I am aware of countless other Jewish families who had similar losses. The Nazis kept meticulous records of every Jew (and others) whom they put in the extermination camps. That's why they numbered them...to keep their anal-retentive German records! I have talked to survivors who still had the numbers on their arms and they recorded the brutalization and torture and murder. You are a disgusting excuse for a human being and a stupid bigot. You have no links for your lies....how about some links? And you are also lying about monthly checks...the survivors who had all their possessions stolen from them sued for damages mostly against Swiss banks who held those possessions for the Germans. it somewhat is thrilling which you load this question. there have been many those that have been "solid" or perhaps "great" those that lived and suffered a horrid demise. it somewhat is an element of dwelling in a fallen worldwide. i am pretty sure you mean WWII not WWI Hitler was a soldier in WWI and he was the German Dictator in WWII and it would take awhile because most of the bodies were burned so I'm sure it would be kinda hard to go and do a head count from all the bodies since there wasn't all of them. plus we had to find the graves they were buried alive in
