Did it acheive the desired result?

I was getting bullied at school and even though my punch missed it greatly improved my life.

No...people in my past hit me, which is all the more reason why I choose not to hit others. I never liked violence, and walk away from it when I can. Violence never solved anything for anyone...talking things out has, in many cases.

I've been picked on a lot when i was young but i never threw a punch at anyone even though i wanted to because i saw so many different outcomes of other people hitting others and its always bad. Just turn the other cheek and walk away

Yes, I have hit someone. Well, yes it did acheive the desired result. But the result was not to hurt him. He did not get hurt either.

yep.....and it broke my finger and the other person was hurt pretty bad. i felt great at the time ,but after the other person got out of the hospital--- they could not remember the fight or even being out that night. so now i carry that rotten memory around with me and I'm paying for it. i got into the middle of the fight to save my friend , and it worked-but at what price is glory????

Yes, but it was not the one that I was aiming for. My poor friends intestines were in multiple knots for weeks and it almost killed me with guilt. Just don't hit anyone!

I've only hit people that have hit me first. I would call it self-defense.
