Rikki Tikki Tavi by Rudyard Kipling.
It teaches to give back when you were given. The main characted, Rikki Tikki Tavi, was a mongoose who was taken in and cared for by a family. They cared for him, that he was thankful. So he wanted to show them his appreciation, so when the family was almost attacked by a boa constrictor, Rikki came to stop the boa.

I suspect you need to do that for yourself -- that's the point of the assignment. However, a good place to start would be with either Aesop's Fables
http://www.aesopfables.com/
Or O'Henry Stories
