To answer your question directly; Hillary has been involved with politics for a very long time. She earned her Law degree from Yale and has been active with a number of children's advocate groups. She also served as one of only two women lawyers on the staff of the House Judiciary Committee considering the impeachment of Richard Nixon. President Carter appointed her to the board of the United States Legal Services Corporation, a federal nonprofit program that funds legal assistance for the poor. When Bill was elected Governor of Arkansas, Hillary continued to advocate for children, was a partner in a law firm, and was twice named one of the 100 most influential lawyers in America.
In the White House, Hillary was by far, the most politically active First Lady in US history leading efforts to make adoption easier, to expand early learning and child care, to increase funding for breast cancer research, and to help veterans suffering from Gulf War syndrome. She helped launch a national campaign to prevent teen pregnancy and helped create the Adoption and Safe Families Act of 1997, which moved children from foster care to adoption more quickly.
And as a U.S. Senator, she is the first New Yorker ever to serve on the Senate Armed Services Committee, She has supported a variety of middle-class tax cuts, including marriage penalty relief, property tax relief, and reduction in the Alternative Minimum Tax, and supports fiscally responsible pay-as-you-go budget rules. She helped pass legislation that encouraged investment to create jobs in struggling communities through the Renewal Communities program.
So basically, she hasn't been content with the traditional role of baking cookies, decorating the white house and reading fairy tales to sick kids in the hospital. She is now and always has been politically active since her college days. She speaks with authority because she has been running committes and boards and various advocacy groups her entire career. It is who she is. She didn't hitch herself to Bill's rising star, Bill hitched himself to hers. I know you're not a Hillary fan and I didn't intend for this to sound like a Hillary endorsement because I plan on voting for Obama. But you seem to be unfairly critical of her and I thought maybe you were under the impression that she was just a regular housewife who happened to get married to a guy that got elected for Governor and then President. Besides, what if Obama asks her to be his running mate and she accepts. You gonna support the team and risk a flip flop rep or not vote for the best qualified candidate for President because you dont like his VP choice. If she gets the nomination she gets my vote, however, because she is still better than any republican.

I wouldn't see any issue with going across party lines for a cabinet. And Hillary has proved one thing over the last few years she is very capable. So I would absolutely still vote for McCain.

She and her supporters consider her first lady role in the white house as an official position in the cabinet, even though that cabinet might have been the liquor cabinet.

Because her political spin doctors wrote the script and she only says what they tell her to. If you pay close attention, her views on issues tend to follow whatever is popular among the masses. Take a closer look, also. Carville, Begalla and the rest of the Clinton crime syndicate are in place once again.

Why do you feel so?She has the confidence and it shows.Or,being a woman, you expect her to go on blabbering ,muttering and strutting?Accept her as a candidate for the most challenging job on this earth and you wouldn't see that as a handicap.

She wants the public to believe she has had far more experience than her main competitor, Barack Obama.
Personally, I say go Obama. Little experience isn't really an issue anymore.
