I am writing a paper and need help with ideas of what to focus on. I am having writers block. I also need to get ideas for how the US and china differ, of course one is Capitalist and the other communist, but I want to know not so obvious info. Please help, thank you

China is almost a mix of the Traditional and Modern Economy blended together, and that's what makes it completely different from the United States.
China has the world's largest population[Although India has gotten ahead by now] and that plays a decisive role in the shaping of economic,social policies.
Also, because of the Communist frame of the Chinese, their mindset and thinking differs widely from US'

No. The Chinese themselves do not consider China to be "modern." They use the term "developing country" (发展中国家 -- fazhanzhong guojia) to describe themselves.

Another way to say this is that although China is not modern, it is "modernizing."

As far as workable standards of what "modern" means, check out Jonathan Spence's introduction to "The Search for Modern China."

Well, they are very advanced in science and technology?
And you might as well for get about communism? they are better capitalists than we are?

What grade are you in, and what class is it for? I could be of more assistance if you elaborated.

-I took an entire class cross listed as Chinese Gov't and Politics and Chinese History as an undergrad.
