It won't really matter all that much what you buy (pretty much every brand is just as good as the others in terms of reliability and performance is going to be pretty close for a given spindle speed) so you may as well just buy whichever is cheapest (laptop hard disks though do tend to be quite a bit better built than desktop hard disks).

Though I'd have to caution you about the higher power usage and heat of 7200 rpm drives, a 5400 rpm drive will give you better battery life (and still quite acceptable performance). If you want extra disk performance a 7200 rpm drive will give it to you but you'll need to accept shorter battery life and a computer that runs a little bit hotter.

Stay away from 4200 rpm drives though, they don't use less power than 5400 rpm drives but have inferior performance.

Seagate Momentus is the kind Sony placed in there initially, yet Western digital Scorpio's looks greater valuable priced final i checked. All you may desire to comprehend is you like a 2.5" SATA pc HDD with 5400rpm and 8MB memory cache. the dimensions and sort is beside the point, all of them artwork nicely so decide on whats maximum inexpensive...

Trust Newegg.
It seems most of their SATA 7200rpm hard drives are hitachi, with one Seagate. I would go with the Seagate.
