Muslim women can play any sport they want as long as they do not show past their ankles. They cannot wear things without sleeves either. Do not show you chest or mid section. That's it! I play all sports. I play hard. I follow the religion, but it doesn't stop me from doing anyhting. I play hard in gym, kick hard, hit hard, run hard. I play baseball, softball, basketball, tennis, hockey (all kinds), I run at least 10 hard minutes a day non-stop, no walking, no stoping, I even swim, and do karate. Just follow those rules.

You do not need to wear a burka in Islam. You can go with society. Trust me, you don't look any different playing softball in sweat pants when other people are playing in sweat pant like shorts.

mong the reasons for the rapid and peaceful spread of Islam was the
simplicity of its doctrine-Islam calls for faith in only one God
worthy of worship. It also repeatedly instructs man to use his
powers of intelligence and observation. Within a few years, great
civilizations and universities were flourishing, for according to the
Prophet (pbuh), 'seeking knowledge is an obligation for every Muslim
man and woman'.

The synthesis of Eastern and Western ideas and of new thought with
old, brought about great advances in medicine, mathematics, physics,
astronomy, geography, architecture, art, literature, and history.
Many crucial systems such as algebra, the Arabic numerals, and also
the concept of the zero (vital to the advancement of mathematics),
were transmitted to medieval Europe from Islam. Sophisticated
instruments which were to make possible the European voyages of
discovery were developed, including the astrolabe, the quadrant and
good navigational maps.

Let's see you (or anyone for that matter) do gymnastics or swimming in a burka. The rules are ridiculous for the 21st Century, and make the false assumption that men can NOT control themselves in the presence of a provocatively dressed women. That might have been true 1,300 years ago, but now its just silly. The rules need to change - it isn't the Eighth Century anymore.

Paul haven't you heard about an invention called training suits, that women can wear and play sport? do you think that we were born with the burko on and by the way burko is the the thing women or (SOME) women cover their face with and ebaya is the black dress which is used mostly in gulf countries not all Muslim women wear them ..they use any normal clothes but should cover the body.

don't think that in order for you to become modern you have to take your clothes off ...people are using you :-)
