Well UCSF is the best phamacy school in the whole country.
You cannot go straigth to pharmacy school...per say. You need a B.S and then apply for pharmacy school...should prepare for PCAT. So, get the B.S first worry about that...you should get it in Biochemistry or Chemistry ...you need to take biochem. o chem, physical chem. general biology , neurobiology, microbiology (all those things as background) while getting a B.S.

The requirements for pharmacy are pretty universal. There are some slight differences amongst them.
The schools in California generally like to see a bachelors. In Illinois, UIC is moving in that direction.
On average, it takes 6-8 years to become a pharmacist, 2-4 years of undergrad and 4 years of pharmacy.
Since you are still in high school, you should look up the 6 year schools like Ohio Northern, Drake, Butler, and St. Louis COP.

Hi, I already graduated from university and luckily got to study in England during that time so if you want my opinion I would say US. When I first graduated high school I was looking into film as well. I found USC really seems to be the place to be if you want to do that (that is the University of Southern California). There are plenty of good film schools throughout our country, some better than others and offering more detailed courses, etc however the one thing you'll experience at USC that you probably won't as much at other schools is the connections you'll make in the industry there, i.e. the professors will know big named ppl as well as who you may meet on your own. USC gets a lot of sponsorship and help from the Hollywood community so I've been told. If I were you I'd order a prospectus (its free) from them from the Admissions office on their website and peruse their website (esp film dept) to see if they offer courses you like. One thing I will warn you about though. I know depending on the major (course) you choose sometimes university can take longer in the states than in the UK. Especially true of Grad School (here its usually 2 years over UK 1 year). Of course the other very big film school I *believe* not sure is NYU (New York University). Now both of these schools are very wealthy schools but coming from the UK pound (it's at twice the dollar right now) it should come out still more expensive than you would pay in the UK but way cheaper for you than it is for us. However check with the Financial Aid department you should qualify for some sort of scholarship since you are coming from the UK our biggest allie/closest related country. Some gov funds will be off limits to you but there are usually a few scholarships that are set up for British students coming to the US and some for just foreign students in general. Anytime you work with the Financial Aid dept of a school they always use the fafsa form to determine how much aid you should get so they'll probably direct you there eventually. I've provided the link below. I ended up staying in my city (St Louis) and going to Saint Louis University a large univ and studying International Studies/Comm. Now my biggest problem is getting out of STL and finding a job! :/ Ironically, I still ended up in television production for my first job! Good Luck! if you have any further questions let me know, I'll do my best to help.
