Okay, lately I have been asking many questions about a Barney episode that was one of my favorites when I was little. I had seen it recently on youtube but it was taken off due to copyright reasons. I have just found out today that the episode, titled, "I Just Love Bugs" will be on next Friday in the early hours of the morning. Again, this episode was my favorite to watch when I was little (very nostalgic), so I already decided to tivo it.
Anyways, how should I tell my father that I would like to watch this episode again? I feel quite embarrassed to bring it up and I know he will find out that I tivoed it. So how do I tell him? Basically, how should I approach this subject with him? I am a teenager by the way in case anyone was wondering.
Thanks for your answers!

What's the big deal here ? Why do you have to discuss it with your father ? Is there something "wrong" with wanting to see an old episode of Barney ? The title : "I Just Love Bugs" .. do the bugs do something naughty ? .. Does your father hate bugs or Barney ? ... I would expect this kind of question if you were a teenager and pregnant. Good Luck ! :)

Does it cost anything to download something on "Tivio" ? I am a mother...and I can honestly say that I would LOVE for my girls to download things like Barney. (My husband would not love it, but he doesn't like Barney...) It is very harmless to download something like that...there are things that you could download that are MUCH WORSE.
If it costs something to download it, tell your dad that you want to watch it (nonchalantly ), and smile maybe....Most important, keep your body relaxed, and offer (in a offhand kind of way) to pay for the download. (Out of an allowance? You have a part-time job?)
I am not your dad (obviously) but if you were my child....I would be thrilled to know that Barney was the worst thing you were downloading. :) He might even be happy you are remembering your childhood.
Lots of luck to you.... If you want to talk - I accept emails in my profile here on Yahoo Answers.

Don't be embarrassed. Just so "Oh hey, remember that episode of Barney that I always used to watch when I was younger? I saw on the tv guide that it's coming on so I tivod it- I just don't want you to think I did that by accident and delete it."
He shouldn't think much of it.

He's your father he should understand especially when it just envolves taping a barney show. Tell him you remember it from when you were little. Seems kids don't think there parents will accept a lot of things but in reality don't be so scared just tell him.

Just watch it when your father is not around. Don't worry about what he'll think. If he says something to you then just tell him that it used to be your favorite episode and you just wanted to see it again.

Just tell him it's wicked awesome and that if he can't dig that he's wicked lame and doesn't understand what's cool these days.
Not that I'm a supporter of Barney or anything.

i don't think this is a big deal... if you are permitted to save programs on your TIVO then do it... you don't have to go through life explaining every move you make to others.
take care.
