You'd be Captain Crunch, yes, if you are successful. But once you acquire an ovsized hat and mustache, you'll reach the Cap'n Crunch status.

But personally, I'd rather start out as Mr. Morgan ;)

Only if you were a commissioned officer. Otherwise, you could only hope to be Fleet Command Master Chief Petty Officer Crunch, which wouldn't fit on a cereal box in any case.

Only if you were in the officer's ranks, and only if you spent a LONG time in the Navy, and proved that you were worthy of such a rank - its the equivalent to a colonel in the Army, etc., and is just one rank below the equivalent of a general - Admiral, although Admirals with one star are referred to as "Commodore", and are usually in charge of a fleet of ships at or in a harbor, although the rules blur.

Only if you joined as an officer. Enlisted ranks never become Captains, it's a different promotion track.

you'd have to become an officer instead of enlisted and get promoted to captain, or get command of a ship (you'll be called the captain regardless of your rank)
