Well, most animals have skeletons.....in the insect world and the seafood world, you have exoskeletons.
The human being is designed to be fragile. We are easily damaged and easily killed. That's why we make our own exoskeletons. If we didn't have bones perhaps we'd have exoskeletons.

We would not be able to breathe. Our ribs provide to rigidity and support for our intercostal muscles and diaphragm to inflate our lungs.

you wouldnt be able to drill axe kicks while focusing on foot position, im speaking of xray targets you use for kicking in martial arts, they are also excellent for stretching...there is no substitute.
