I got 12 canvas potholders (plain) and two boxes of crayola fabric markers for about $20 from Oriental Trading. I ordered online with my credit card and got almost instant shipping.
My grandkids are doing Christmas craft gifts tomorrow morning!! It should be tons of fun!!

Well, if you like to draw, like I do, go and pick up some coloured pencils and sketch paper from the store. Ask the person you're giving it if they'd like a family portrait, or if they want you to draw their dog or something. That's what I did last year for my grandma who had to get her dog put down a few months before.
Also, if you like crocheting, make someone a nice afghan or blanket in a crhistmasy colour such as burgundy, red, green or even white and blue if they're Jewish. If you don't know how to crochet, go pick up a needle and a ball of yarn from Wal-Mart's craft section, an associate can tell you which needle to get, You Tube has great instructional videos, I learned how to crochet and knit just by watching them. Not only is it fun, but it's very rewarding when you finish, and it's very good for stress. Plus it kills time.
Personally, these are my favourite things to do, you can also make jewellery or God's eyes for people, though I'm sure everyone has a God's eye laying around somewhere.
I hope this helped, have fun, and Merry Christmas!

They are having a decorating contest at my apt. complex and we've been going craft crazy. We made a lot of snowflakes (like someone mentioned) but went one up and painted them all. Use silver puff pant to paint them and it looks really sparkly (put the puff paint on a paper towel first). Looks AWESOME. We made candy canes out of paper and just painted other little scenes as well. We're also making a sleigh out of objects we have around the house, thats really fun. You can also build a gingerbread house-they sell kits at Walmart I believe. Good luck!

If you are around children you can always make the Christmas chain by cutting strips of red, green,etc... construction paper and stapling together in loops.
