Heres what happened :

Ive had the pc for over a year, and i had a dodgy PSU (it was making strange noises starting 2 weeks ago) and used it for about a week until my PC wouldn't even start.

Then i got a new PSU and everything was working fine for about a week.

Now i start my PC and there are 11 clicks that come from my 7950GT. I have to use my motherboards onboard GPU to see anything on the screen.

So do you think it's just my graphics card gone or could there be a problem with the motherboard ? I have a feeling the dodgy PSU was responsible...

I'm not too fussed if i just have to get a new GPU because i am ready to get an 8800GTS .. but don't wanna put it in if the motherboards gonna mess that up too !

Any help would be much appreciated!

get a power supply tester $20. if ur power supply is on, then take ur heatsink off ur video card and re-apply some thermal paste. if that does not work, then check cpu heatsink.

if you can see the display with the onboard graphics and not with the 7950 then i would say the vid card is dead. have u got a spare PSU to test just to make sure its not that?
i dont think its the motherboard though. you wouldnt get a display at all with integrated if it was the mobo.
