Good parenting has all elements in it. (Sometimes a parent has to step back and be unresponsive, but not neglectful)

we have had alot of trouble with my 2 year son. his behavoir changed after bringing his little sister home when he was 1 years old. they are exactly a year apart. We started time out asap and it seems to work for the most part. Or we will put him in his room and tell him that he can't come out until he is quiet (if he is throwing a fit or screaming). Toddler years are hard, i have two toddlers right now and they push me to the edge every day but you just have to hang in there!!!! If you do use time out, put him in time out and then dont look at him while he's in time out, chances are he won't sit there the whole time..just have to keep putting him back in time out. I would only make him sit there for a minute or two. hope this helps :)

My dad is 1, my mom is 4.

As a parent, I'm probably a 3 and my husband is a 2.

My mom was more into attachment parenting, and my father was more authoritative.

My wife and I believe in attachment parenting, but not so extreme as some people. We discipline our son when necessary, and he's a very happy and well-behaved 15 month-old with a sweet disposition.
