What is the benefit for a man to be married? There isn't any. Save your money and don't get married. Just read more questions in this category and you'll find many heartbreakers. As long as you do not get married, you will always have an out without any headaches.
Marriage is no longer the institution it once was.
-Having a lifelong, faithful, committed relationship has nothing to do with being "married".
-Owning a beautiful dream home together has nothing to do with being "married".
-Rearing healthy, happy, and successful children has nothing to do with being "married".
-Building a family and life together has nothing to do with being "married".
-Growing old together has nothing to do with being "married".

Ask a lot of questions. What are her interests, plans for the future? Is she messy or neat? Can she cook? Can she sew? Is she well educated? Does she have the same spiritual values as yourself? Does she use drugs or drink? What are her political views? Does she want a professional career or does she want to be a house wife? Does she want children? How many? Is she willing to be a partner or is she controlling and selfish? Is she good with money or does she waste it? Is she organized or not?
Observe her in social settings, see how she treats other people. Ask her friends and family about her. Date her for a long, long time. When you first meet some one you are only meeting their Representative. It takes a long while for the real person to show up.
Have respect for her and don't ask for sex before your wedding night.

As yourself, is she the type of person you can depend on in general? Is she honest, faithful and trustworthy? Does she believe marriage is important and should last? Do you share common life goals with her (agree on things like if you should have children/how many children to have, how to manage household finances, etc)? Is she responsible, patient and loving toward you and in general? If you can answer yes to all or most of these questions, I'd say there's a good chance she will be a good wife...but really only if you can make a serious commitment to the relationship as well, and also possess many/most of these qualities.

If you think women are only good "marriage MATERIAL" - go call up an agency for domestic helpers. You don't need a wife, you need a MAID. Sorry, but wife material deserves better husband beneficiaries.
