There have been some rumors, talking about Sega retaining the Dreamcast name, potentially moving toward a Dreamcast 2. Gamespot has said this rumor is bogus, but does anyone want it to actually happen? Where would it fit with the enormously fun Wii, the well-established 360 and the uber-powerful PS3?

This is a RUMOR. Not confirmed and probably bogus. But it would be cool to see four companies fighting it out. Nintendo 1, MS 2, Sega 3, Sony 4.

That could actually be pretty interesting, throwing another system in the "console wars". I think if Sega was to make such a move, they would probably be Nintendo's biggest competition, because I could see them going more for the "fun" factor, and not concentrate so much on power or graphics. I'll keep my fingers crossed hoping this is more than just a rumor!

I thought the owner of dreamcast died, and in his will he didn't want the console produced any more? That was like 2000-2001? I don't really think that rumor is true, dreamcast went down the drain a while ago and no new games were ever made for it, plus it's got a hell of alot of competition if it were ever to come back.
However, I thought the first one was awesome and way more fun than the ps1 (Soul Reaver woot!) and if they made another I'd definitely be all for it.

I would LOBVE (an anime spelling of it) it if that happened. Dreamcast was awesome, and allot of it's principles are now incorperated into current systems. I actually own a few Dreamcasts and love them like they were my own children, only I sell them also:D
One thing Sega has ALWAYS done right is being inovative, and ahead of the pack.

False, Rumor, Sega isnt dealing in consoles anymore, just game development. Gameinformer did a rumor for Smash Bros. Melee, said Sonic was gonna be in it, that was just a April Fools' joke, and no I wouldnt want to see one anyway.

Well, If it were true, It would differnately be above the ultra ugly and stupid PS3 and be up there with the Wii.....Both great Consoles..I mean Wii and Dreamcast......I believe Wii would still reign though....
