Shouldnt they apply to everyone?? If a black kid were to get beaten near death while walking home from school by a group of white kids there would be news stories across the country covering it.Million man marches would be formed riots and looting you name it. If the kid happend to be white and the attackers were black NO ONE WOULD BAT AN EYE in this country????Case and point http://urbangrounds.com/2007/12/07/another-black-on-white-hate-crime/
if the female in this story would have been black the nation would have been turned upside down.I think racism goes both ways, and white people are entitled to civil rights just like anyone else.If saying so makes me a racist so be it.You know and I know thats just ignorant anyway, and no I'm not going to agree with you just because MTV or the popular media tells me to.The hell with that, if the system will not protect us then I say do what you must to protect yourself.

The problem with feminist thinking is that you always have to assume an inferior position without any type of intellectual rationalization. There is some truth to what you are saying, however, you cannot discount that the Civil Rights Movement came from the church. So would religious leaders at that time been marching with homos for gay rights, of course not because people still are limited by their beliefs. However, with more black men in jail than college, black women far ahead academically, high unemployment, black women economically and socially are leaps and bounds ahead of black men. And no feminist stat can refute this. You need a stronger understanding of actual events before you can say an entire movement was a fraud, especially since you're argument is pointing to a few interracial relationships. The CRM benefitted women, black women included, moreso than it has black men, the voice and backbone of the movement. As far as the feminist movement, black women never did fit in the picture. While middle class white women were marching to partake in the workforce, black women have never had the luxury of staying home. Black women have always been the centerpiece of the black family and the breadwinners because black men were just as oppressed as they were. I don't doubt that within the home there are/were sexist attitudes but it certainly didn't come in the form of institutionalized oppression because black men controlled absolutely nothing.

Okay people. Civil rights applies to everyone but black people went through struggles to get where they are today and are still struggling. Racism is still going on with people in Jena who like to hang nooses from trees and think its funny. Then when the kid gets his *** beat for doing this. The black kids face life is prison. Now if it was the other way around would the white kids be facing life. Lets be serious now. Go up to random black people and ask them have they been called a ****** b4.About all of them will say yes. I remember being called a ****** when I was 5 and mind you I am only 20 years old now. I had a white friend of mine say, "You my ******" and sure enough I went right up side her head. What do you have to be protected against? It is a White mans world if you did not realize that. Yes racism goes many ways but lets face it. Most of it is directed toward African Americans. How many people in here has called a black person a ****** or used the word? Answer that! It will be way more then what a black person used the "C" word. ****** is offensive because it is something that my ancestors were called as slaves. We are no longer slaves and trying to move beyond that. Though black people say *****, its just so much more to explain. Ask a black person they will tell you.

Yes you are correct. And many bashing you here with White avatars are Blacks my friend.Go to the C&G section and you'll be shocked at the venom against Whites. It hurts me deeply.Whites were slaves too.I'm sick of the hypocrisy of most negroes these days brainwashed by Marxists like Sharpton and Jackson and teachers. The mainstream media is no better. They downplayed the Channon Christian atrocity[rape, mutilation and sodomy and murder]because it was black on White crime. And blow the Jena Case way out of proportion.Stand up before it is too late!PS Save the links by ezq1 and anyone else. These good questions like yours do not stay up more than two hours or so.Also, you need to activate your email so decent people can give you the links when the racist intolerant people remove your question.Just delete the hate mail and deactivate your email in an hour. That's what us intelligent people do here. You will not get anywhere with the gimme gimme entitlement folks. They hate facts and truth. That's why they hurl slurs.Read the Channon story. It blows away all the little "I got beat up by a cop" nonsense. But look at the hypocrites saying Whites do not deserve justice.

You are correct and very observant in seeing the double standard. Black Americans have the United ***** College Fund (call someone a ***** today and see what happens), you have "Black Entertainment Television..BET", try having a White Entertainment Television channel and you'll be called a racist or scuba diver (WET). If you are Black you are the politically protected class. Remember the Duke La cross team? A black woman LIED about rape and the boys (not saints mind you) had to pay MILLIONS in legal fees just to prove they were innocent. If they were you or I they would be in jail for a crime they did not commit. When black kids beat a white person the victim "deserved" it because blacks were oppressed years ago. This is a hate crime and those responsible deserve to be punished.

This is so debatable. Not only that it all is what the media puts out. if the black kid gets jumped and it is put on the media mainstream things will happen. But if the white kid is jumped and it is put into the mainstream the same consequences may apply. Though history in the u.s. has taught us this isnt always the case. I willing to bet that if a white kid got jumped by a group of black kids every one of those black individuals probably 15 or younger would all be tried as adults. Where if it were the other way around the whites kids might not even get taken to court. I think white people are entitled to the same rights and i think they are just as black people are. But there are more people in power looking to make things " easier" for black people than white people. You dont see some white person saying we need white rights. you have had them, for quite some time. but african americans are just milking and milking what went on before the 50's and 60's as much as possible. I dunno stuff just happens and no system is flawed.

Didn't read your message because civil rights existed before blacks became citizens. A young farmer named Harlan Welles pleaded before the supreme court of Mass'ts to avoid military service in 1862 due to religious objection (term of the day). He won his case based on his civil right to be what is now called a conscientious objector.

Civil rights apply to all civilians, hence the word "civil"
I don't believe these rights only apply to blacks.
As far as your assessment about Blacks attacking Whites and "no one would bat an eye", I don't believe that either.
Last Halloween, 2006 Long Beach California, in the upscale, prosperous community of Bixby Knolls, 10 black youths ~ ages 13 to 19 ~ ganged up on 3 young 20-something white women and beat them severly.
Another famous black on white incident was the Reginald Denny incident in Los Angeles.
Mr. Denny was the Truck Driver who unwillingly drove his big rig in the middle of the Los Angeles riots of 1992. He was pulled from his rig and beaten ~ including a brick to the face ~ to near death by Black gang members.
These are two examples, but many many more exist.
So no, black on white, white on black, I believe decent caring citizens ALWAYS roll their eyes at senseless violence.
p.s. Reginald Denny's life was saved when 4 Blacks, watching Mr. Denny being beaten on TV, drove to the scene and rescued ~ while endangering their own lives ~ Mr. Denny only to drive him to the hospital.

It is for everyone. To treat all equal. It seems you read what you wanted to read. They did get all the kids who done this. You are just jumping on a soapbox crying; how whites are being mistreated. That is a joke within itself. You are looking for a battle, a fight and a reason to hate, when nothing has happen to you. you're reading more into this then it is. your hostile reaction is base more in your racist beliefs then being mistreated (As you say). You are not a racist for what you said, but for what you believe. You fell for this propaganda (I saw the same posting) and you saw what you wanted to see something to feed your hate. I read that all the children that were involved was caught and brought in. Notice, I said; "children." This point you left out of you rant. They will be prosecuted as children and a whole lot can't be done to a child. That's are system and there is nothing you can do. What happen to this women is sad, but you can't go on waving this injustice flag, because of the actions of a few children. So you are asking in this question for whites to go out and loot, riot and form a million man march, because of some kids??? Okay...Now you make more sense.

They don't...As per the US Constitution..Civil Rights apply to EVERYONE.Bias Crime is Bias Crime whether it is commited by a white person or a black person. A black person can be racist just as a white person can be racist. HOWEVER-- If any group of people takes the law into their own hands---then you have anarchy & chaos. I think the real solution is to adopt & enforce a universal policy whereby NOBODY is above the law.I READ YOUR ATTACHED ARTICLE & I THINK THAT IT CORRECTLY POINTS OUT A TERRIBLE BIASED MISCARRIAGE OF JUSTICE. I WAS A DETECTIVE IN A US CITY A LOT BIGGER THAN BALTIMORE FOR OVER 28 YEARS & OFTEN SAW FIRSTHAND " JURY NULLIFICATION " WHERE BLACK JURORS REFUSED TO CONVICT BLACK PERPS OF BLACK ON WHITE AS WELL AS BLACK ON BLACK CRIME SIMPLY BECAUSE THE PERPS WERE BLACK.
