Yes, it seems that way. Everynight on ET they are always talking about Dancing With The Stars.

Not really. American Idol has been airing much longer than Dancing with the Stars and actually gives out new artists. Though some of it has become a bit ridiculous because of the auditions they tend to show, which is usually the people who can't sing and have "character". But the only reason you hear abour Dancing with the Stars right now, is because the past month or two has been it's traditional season. American Idol always starts in January of the next year, and runs until mid May or June.

Dancing with the Stars has become very popular but I don't think it will ever match American Idol!!
