What favourite things do you remember to help you not feel so bad? And does it really work?

It just happened the other night and I want to always remember it.
I picked up my two-year grandson and he immediately began to very gently feel my beard whiskers (I had not shaved that day.) He just looked into my face and kept running his finger tips on the bristles. This went on for about five minutes. Then he finally stopped and felt his own cheeks. Then he laid his head on my chest with a soft clunk.
My God! That is what it's all about, folks.

Just the feeling of being alive and without pain is enough to place a smile in my face, no matter how bad things look.

The luck I'm having lately I'd have to spend the entire day thinking of my favourite things. Never mind these things are sent to try us!!

Chocolate!, ice cream, anything sweet that's not real food LOL just a nice sugary treat to put me in the right mood
OR I read & write & draw - my hobbies
The BEST thing to do tho is turn on the TV to a preacher bcuz it gets my MIND in the right place .. everything else follows :->

I sing, Dance, listen to music or just cry.
It usually helps me from going back to drugs.
I also just thank god that I'm alive and think how lucky I am compared to others.
