That depends on a person's personal budget. Some people can afford more, some less, but some make presents by hand, and some enjoy shopping. It is not the amount that matters, you can spend little, but make a lasting impression by doing something yourself. (Don't forget the card)

For me it all depends on who. If it is my mom obviously she deserves the I think the most not expensive but from the heart gift. Becuase in most cases even a 25 dollar gift is all she will want becuase spending time with you means much more to her. For my mom Ill just update some technology she needs (I.e: cell phone, tv, camera etc. ) For daddy well me and my dad dont talk much so I usually don't get him anything. But something manly or something random will be good enough. Brothers and sisters are the hardest to buy for becuase they know what is what. Not to mention they are hard to please. But, just listen for hints and know your budget really. Gift cards for the siblings tend to be the best route. Hope shopping goes well!

I try to limit my spending to no more than $250 per person.
If there is one special present that somebody wants that goes a little over that I try to be flexable, but with 5 family members plus friends to buy for I have to draw the line somewhere. .
Remember, more is not always better.

We spend about $20 on parents and siblings and will probably spend about $100 on each kid this year. Some years it's more and there have been years where it's been less.
