I purchased a laptop from a girl I work with as she bought a new one cause she says this one was junk.
I can usually repair laptops but the hard drive has a lock on it and can not get anywhere with it. I have tried a manual unlock and an auto unlock and nothing is working. The lady doesn't know the password she says her son locked it up before passing. Would anyone be able to help me unlock the hard drive please?

I can not tell you how to unlock the laptop. However, I could suggest that you pick up a new hard drive and reinstall the OS. If you do not have the restore software, you can pick up an OEM copy of XP from Newegg.com.
