Churches are perfect examples of a difficult problem. What is "good?" Define what "good" really means - without using the word "good" as a part of the definition. THEN let's talk about whether churches know that.
Good, to my eyes, is when the least harm is done to the greatest number of people. The ultimate good would come from helping (not merely avoiding harming) many people.
To the extent that many churches perform charitable acts, I would say they DO know something about good. But then they turn around and do hateful acts such as gay-bashing and condemnation of religions that are more than just a little bit different from their own. So the churches don't know everything about Good.

Churches don't decide for everybody what is good and what isn't, but most people can agree on many things that are generally considered "good," and it's not because a church proclaimed it as such.

Churches fast food chain has really good okra, and mashed potatoes.
Churches in reference to religion, wellll that just varies on your religion and what type of church and the congregation.

church is human natures way of giving people something to believe in. why do u think there are so many different religions. they all dont even believe in the same things so how do u know which one is even right...

Yes,I belong to a church and the people are wonderful and the minister is so sweet.I'm very active in mine. He teaches Good every Sunday.

They do make pretty good chicken. But I still prefer KFC. They still do chicken right.
