We're both nearly 50, divorced with kids. Want to get him something special but not too overboard so he might be uncomfortable. We've shared my birthday but not his yet, so this still new at gift giving. He likes small things, fun to use. I was thinking a featherbed or camera but am concerned camera may not be the one he wanted. Suggestions please...

Some suggestions are: a nice cell phone that also has songs that can be downloaded, Digital Cameras are very nice. You can download the pictures to your computer and edit the photos and print them out or save them to your desk top.

Take him walking around the mall and see what camera he checks out. See if he likes fishing - a pole and reel might be nice. Does he play games? A nice pocket knife with other tools on it might be something he needs. How does his wallet look - does he need a fresh one? or his watch?
