Snoop - Reed Larson represented the red Wings at 7 All-Star games and was a top-ten Norris guy for 8 straight years. One of a handful of guys who can make that claim. Larson also leads all detroit D in points per game average (yes higher than Lidstrom). Unfortunately Detroit has been heavy on centres. Dionne didn't have the impact of the 4 I chose (that includes Ullman who is 6th on Detroits all-time scoring list).
Vinny
When looking at Vernon and Osgood, Osgood has him beat all to hell. Better winning percentage, better shutouts ratio, better GAA, more Detroit Cups, etc. I fought with Fetisov, but in the end he didn't fit. Konstantinov was a good Defenceman, but noit a great defenceman. 6 years in the NHL, no Norris votes.

The Red Wings have a plethora of Red Wings. Holmstrom has averaged less than 0.5 points a game. Shanahan...almost 1.00 PPG. Larionov is a Centre, and again, if Dionne doesn't make it, Larionov doesn't. Kozlov is fortunate in that he's a RW, and from a PPG perspective, the 2nd best in Detroit history. From a total perspective, 3rd best in RW points. While the fans love Probert, Maltby, etc........none of these guys has ever received a point in any post-season award ballot. All the people I picked did.

Sawchuk and Hall would beat Roy everytime. Howe and Yzerman on the same line? The Edmonton dynasty team wouldn't have a chance! (But then, their goalie (Fuhr) is a sieve comapred to these guys))

Moose....you picked Rafalski over Goodfellow?
Has Rafalski ever been NHL MVP (Hart Trophy)? No....but Ebbie was
Has Rafalski ever been named to a post-season all-star team? No...but Ebbie was...4 times
Ebbie has more Cups (including leading the Wings to the 1943 Cup
Goodfellow is one of only three Defencemen in the Red Wings Hall of Fame (Promovost and Reed Larson are the others)
Robitaille and Hull weren't in Detroit long enough to have the same impact as the other LWs have.
Your second line has no right winger and your 4th line has no left winger

You've made some interesting choices, however Jack Adams should not be the GM. Sure, he was a keen negotiator when the players were ignorant farm-boys and knew how to flip tables full of oranges for great effect in the locker room, but his leadership pales in comparison to that of Ken Holland.
Ken has scouted where others feared to tread, something Jack and the pre-expansion draft system never required. Ken has signed the big names in an era of relative openness, again something Jack could not do and certainly would not have done (besides, Norris likely would not have paid for it anyway..)
If your criteria of greatness is based on divisional names and a trophy, the frigging Prince of Wales would have to bear some significance in the game..which he most certainly doesn't. (And Jack Norris would have been someone relevant, instead of a Chicago style hood masquerading as an NHL owner)
I am also going to take issue with you choice of Kozlov. I liked the kid both personally and professionally, but honestly if we are talking teams with amazing chemistry and skill, you have to swap him for Draper or maybe even Doug Brown.
Both of these guys are / were heart players and gave everything they had every night. That could never be said of Kozlov. Additionally, both of these guys were willing to get killed against the boards to see that a puck gets out to the center. Kozlov...not so much.
Lastly, both are character guys in the locker room and on the bench. Kozlov couldn't be...he barely spoke English...(Luckily he had the other Russian 4 there to talk to him!)
Otherwise...not bad. ;)

Shanahan? I would rather see Holmstrom. Shanahan was key to winning the 3 cups but Holmstrom was there too, and he is still here and will be for the rest of his career. Chelios is ok, I guess.
Maybe Probert, he definitely left a legacy. Igor Larionov was there for all 3 cups while Kozlov was not. Datsyuk will most likely become Captain after Lidstrom retires. McCarty was there for all three cups and maybe the Wings will sign him up again. Draper was there for all 3 cups. Maltby was there.
I'm trying to think of another D man from before Chelios.
goalies look good. I had those same 3 when I made a dynasty roster. I just really dont like your #4 line even though they're all good players.

The team looks solid, lol good ol' mickey redmond made the squad. Hella of a job LITY. There are a few guys you forgot though i would take Mike Vernon over Chris Osgood, Fetisov, or Konstantinov were solid defencemens.
Mike- lol its not April fools day, is it?
Mike- Trust me Mike, Roy in net is not going to stop Gordie Howe, Steve Yzerman, Sid Abel, Delvecchio, Fedorov (in his prime), and Sydney Howe. Terry Sawchuck was just as good as Roy back in the day.
Mike- Lol ya i would pay good money to see that.

Yankees... then Spurs, then Wings, then Pats. Cheating earns you the last spot on the list. 18-1! Plus, as someone else mentioned, the Yanks won 4/5 world series championships... none of the other teams have done that. Go Yankees!

There is a certain young team from Chicago that seems tohave the Wings number this year. I don't think the Hawks are capable of winning it all, but they should make it interesting. I'm just happy to have a respectable team to watch again. It has been a while.

One glaring omission from your team my friend: Marcel Dionne! Two if you change Reed Larson for Paul Coffey (who won a Norris Trophy while with Detroit I believe). Other than that, excellent work!

vinny i think u have to go with osgood when u look at where he falls on career wins, a honest look at him and he just might be quietly haveing a extremly solid career.
though i think fetisov might deserve to be one of the 6. unless lity is planing on putting him one NJ's list, wait got that question will players appear on more then one teams list lity.
i thought it was missing Probert too ......

I'm not really sure who you'd get rid of on that list, but I'd consider adding Fetisov to the list of defencemen.
