I see many are complaining about LSU not deserving to be in the BCS NC for this reason or that, so I would like to know who you think should be in their stead and why.

USC only had two wins against teams that had more wins than loses at the end of the season. LSU had to go with a backup twice and won both games, including the SEC Championship.

You are going to have to do better than that!

BTW: LSU beat Virginia Tech by 41 points.

UGA shouldnt be there because they didnt even win the Eastern Division.... More less the SEC Championship... They got spanked by Tennessee...

USC lost to Stanford....No comparison to Arkansas or Kentucky.
Arkansas would kill Stanford easily....

LSU beat Virginia Tech head to head. 48-7... Period

Oklahoma is the only team that has a legitimate argument..

But thats the system.... The polls are subjective.. and The Pollsters liked LSU better...

Quit whining because you didnt make it...

That's a very easy question. The answer is none. Lsu is the best choice. No other team can say they played as well as Lsu. Usc lost to a pathetic team, Georgia didn't even play the SEC championship game, and Oklahoma didn't really play anyone good this year. The whole Big 12 sucked this year. Hawaii couldn't play with the big boys from the SEC, Big 10, Big 12, or Pac 10 for that matter. They are undefeated but they didn't play anyone with real talent. Everyone will see how Georgia whips up on them!!! Then there will be no question as to why they weren't in contention for the National Championship!!

Man, some of the reasoning ya'll put up is lame. Hawaii is undefeated,, should be # 1. BS! USC had injuries when they had their bad game and their loss. (Bull S*** The depth at USC is the best in college) LSU has not fielded a healthy team since Game # 4. Somewhere from 4 to 6 starters were out or got injured during the games(Doucet and Will Arnold out for 5 games) and they played backup's and back ups to back ups. And they still managed to win. May have not been pretty, but it was exciting. LSU and Ohio St. have lost and I have not heard them once complain about the loss and that injuries cost them. and,, they didn't blame anyone other than themselves. We fans tend to find excuses.. but those two teams blamed no one but themselves for their losses. Fact: Only two can play.. Fact.. more than 2 deserve to play.. Of all the options the anylist could come up with in the BCS National Championship game,, LSU was the only unanimous team after the final chaotic week was played.

quick answer: nobody. period. you can whine, cry and complain that oklahoma got shafted, or missouri, or virginia tech, or usc for that matter. and no i'm not an lsu fan either. i look at the statistics. and lsu's losses came from teams that are in the toughest conference, after 3 overtimes, and with multiple 2nd and 3rd string players. can anybody else say that??? i didn't think so. so all you usc fans, here's a novel idea, BEAT STANFORD NEXT TIME. and virginia tech- don't get thumped, spanked or humiliated by LSU. the only team that might have passed lsu is oklahoma. they have a legitimate gripe, georgia didn't play in their conference title game (the oklahoma debacle) so they didn't even get a look, and kansas also, and hawaii didn't play but two teams this year with a winning record, no wonder they went undefeated. if i had my way oklahoma would play lsu for the title.

my complaint isn't so much that anyone deserves it more. it would probably be most appropriate if they cancelled the whole thing due to lack of interest. it's like no one wanted in the game.

my issue was more about how LSU got in. It's obvious that people voted Georgia and Virginia Tech lower than they normally would have to make sure LSU got in. That kind of vote manipulation is the problem I have.

The other problem is one that could be argued both ways, but it shows the problem with the voter part of the system. Virginia Tech was pretty far ahead of LSU prior to the last week. They beat a better team, beat that team ON THE ROAD (not a neutral site like LSU's game), and beat them much more convincingly, and yet they get passed by LSU. That alone tells me there's a problem in the system.

This year it would only be a matter of opinion as there are no 2 clear cut teams above the rest. I think LSU deserves it more than OSU does, but USC OU and Georgia all deserve it more than OSU.

Appalachian State deserves to be in the BCS championship game more than LSU AND Ohio State...Seriously though, Hawaii got completely shafted...Missouri and Kansas both deserve it more than LSU...Its obvious this was a move by LSU bandwagoners in the media to keep Les Miles from leaving LSU...

seeing how they go with schedule and win ans loss numbers
stands to reason

a undefeated team should be NO# 1

and then 11-1
and 10-2

and so on

but having a undefeated team ranked 10 ?
and a 1 loss team ranked 8th ?
and a 2 loss team playing in the BCS Bowl game ?
come on
commen sense should prevail
NOT the BCS politics
and thier normal debackle, and favortism

and if they are not going to have a playoff
then playoffs in certain conferences shouldnt count either !!!
winner of conference shouldnt matter
if playoffs wont matter !!!!!!!

THEY NEED PLAYOFFS
not this number game
and strength of schedule junk !!!!!
schedules are made years in advance
so its not fair to the teams, especially
smaller colleges...........

Hawaii. They won all there games what more can you ask of them before they get a shot? They tried to schedule a game against Michigan, but Michigan decided to play Applachain State instead. Give Hawaii a chance at Ohio State.

im so tired of hearing everyone cry, saying LSU doesnt deserve to be in the National Championshp game, and that it was a paid deal..

Please explain why if LSU doesnt deserve it did the COMPUTERS put them in the game? and did Skip Bertman give money to the COMPUTER???

get over it. im so sick of people crying, obviously those people are just crying because their team didnt make it. quit your crying and maybe look forward to your bowl game (if your team even was put in one of those) and look forward to next year!
