what good german or french or even other international rock bands/music is there? i have difficulty finding it. i usually get stuff that's too poppy for me.

some of my favorite bands: brand new, taking back sunday, matchbook romance, armor for sleep.

ummm, i'm looking mostly for bands that speak in foreign languages. some of the british ones i've heard of before. but anything that you think is good i'll give a go. you people are amazing! thanks!

Rammstein, Megaherz, In Strict Confidence, Clan of Xymox, Front 242, The 5, 6, 7, 8's, Lacuna Coil. They shouldn't be too poppy.

As far as foreign language bands, here are some GREAT Japanese rock/metal bands:

Dir en Grey (You'd probably like alot of their newer stuff)
X Japan
Malice Mizer
Moi Dix Mois
Miyavi
hide with Spread Beaver
L'arc~en~Ciel
Ayabie

Also, a decent German Rock(occasionally pop/rock) band is Tokio Hotel

And as for english speaking foreign bands, the only two I'm really into lately are Children of Bodom and Lordi.

by foreign do you mean actually signing in different languages or just foreign and speaking english?

cause if you mean foreign language, sorry dont know any

but Bullet For My Valentine and Funeral For A Friend are both from europe, and there are plenty of norwegian bands
