stupid show?

I saw this comedian make a joke and was so true. Why do we have shows having people trying to survive on an island when people are really trying to survive real life. I personal think its pathetic people enjoy it that much.

lol mand u really didnt see what I was really getting at did u. The whole point was saying how pathetic it is people want to be entertained. All these god damn stupid reality shows and even other shows making people seem like dumasses for watching them. It makes me sick that we dont use this money to actual benifit helping others. I wasnt just talking about us but others in foreign countries that are starving to death and dont even have clothes. And here we are sitting on are fat asses stuffing are faces and enjoying people struggle in life when people really are struggling in their life. People taking everything for granted.

and just so u know ur cold war stories dont impress me. People dont brag about their hardships from cold war ducking under desks boo who at least u had a roof over ur head. Im just lucky I was adopted at such a young age.

oh get over it...
every one from my generation grew up watching Gilligans island and thinking to themself "MAN if I were on that island I would have got off by now..." or something - but we ALSO grew up durring the COLD WAR - learning how to "duck" under our desks for protection from a bloody nuclear bomb!! ha haha

Reality TV is a releif from the boring dramas on TV..

why dont you complain about all the stupid hospital shows and say "heck with all the fake emergency rooms being used for TV maybe we would be better off treating real patients in show sets to relive waiting lines" or something..

I mean really... how does one show become bad when other shows THROW AWAY MILLIONS OF DOLLARS on basically NOTHING of value... (eg look at what sports players are paid)

Surviving real life - we all live that on a daily basis. But entertainment is on an island where you have to compete and eat bugs and do things that you wouldn't do in normal day-to-day life.

Good point. We try so hard in real life, and sometimes it doesn't work out. Why should we waste our time watching people go through things they would have otherwise never had to go through if they hadn't applied to the show.

We all need an occasional break from reality to reduce stress and stop us from going crazy. As for the type of break, different strokes for different folks.
