I've been asked to graph the expression y =5x -5. I checked some old algebra books and am not sure what I am doing here.

The link is to the template I was given. Any help would be great. Thanks in advance.

y=mx+b

m=slope ; fine whats equivalent to 5.
use rise over run
ex. 5/1=5, -5/-1=5 then you get the line
b= y-intercept ; graph the y-intercept.

At the y intercept, x=0 So substitute into equation y intercept = 5*0 - 5 = 0 - 5 = -5

So let's start from the top.
You have: y=5x-5.
The -5 will have a point on the y axis (veritcal line)
So from that point which is (0,-5),
you will move up 5, and 1 over to the right (slope).
Plug in your point and connect the 2 points.
Hope that helps!

A line requires a minimum of 2 points.
(0 , - 5) , (4 , 15) are two suitable points.
Draw line thro` these points.
