then one of them hands me a phone # and tells me it belongs to a professional lady of the night .......

Congrats on your birthday. I wouldn't go for the pro, find some one nice. There's just way to much you can catch out there today. Even with a condom, Just be careful is all and as for the v, well if you need it you need it. If you have no problems in that area, toss it or give it away.
