i don't know how to cope with it. she was right next to one of my classes. it's so weird because she was there one day and now she's dead. what should i do? i feel like no one wants to talk about it.

there is a counseling session tomorrow when we can talk but i'm not sure i should go since i was not her student.

hey, you're not alone! any death at any school is going to affect everyone, even if they don't know the person. last year a fellow student of mine died at a track meet, and it hurt everybody, whether they knew him or not. we spent the whole day afterward comforting each other and talking about it. at the end of the day, our whole school was a lot closer and a lot stronger. so don't be afraid to talk about it and feel sad. it's part of the healing process for everyone.

Sure you can go. You knew her as a person, didn't you? She was a teacher in your school wasn't she? So go ahead and attend the counseling. It won't hurt you and it may help.
