To become a pharmacist, post-secondary education length is on average 6-8 years. Taking your prereqs at a CC is looked down upon. A degree of some kind for pharmacy has been required since the end of the 19th century.

It is four years, but it's a very competitive field, and therefore most students major in some sort of science degree, such as a BSc in Biology, Chemistry or any science and then apply into pharmacy. Both my parents are pharmacists, but they went to school a long time ago where you could go straight into pharmacy. Hope this helps!

It's a four year degree. You should try to visit a career counselor at a nearby college or a job center, and see if they can tell you where such degrees are offered in your state.
