What colors go with a dark purple coat?

I'm thinking about getting a dark purple coat but I'm worried that not too many colors will go with it. What colors go with dark purple? I'm talking about purses, scarves, hats, tights, shoes, etc. Thank you!

Instead of going for another solid color (BTW I love yellow or turquoise with it), why don't you go for prints, a small silk leopard scarf would go well (and it's very fashionable this season) a zebra fabric is also a fun print...any animal print would spruce it up. Or (if you are not the animal print type) pick other prints or go for metallic accents. A silver clutch.

I'd prefer a brown color with a dark purple coat.

brown purses, light OR dark purple purses. Brown or lightly colored purple scarves.

what i'd do is pick a color that you think matches...

for instance, wear the coat, then have light brown pants on. wear dark purple shoes, but have a tan colored purse and scarf, or maybe even a lighter purple scarf. I try to keep with two specific colors, and just use slightly different shades of those two colors to mix and match.

Most dark colors will go with it - burgundy, gold, hunter green, navy, gray, black - except maybe brown.
Most pastels as well.
All brights except maybe some oranges.
Try all COOL colors:
white, pinks, cherry red, burgundy, lemon; mint, jade, pine or forest green; sky , royal, smoke, navy blue; gray, black, silver.
Suggest getting hat and gloves/mittens in a bright purple or lavender [ cashmere? ]; then coordinate rest of outfit to each other's colors [ handbag/shoes, tights/boots, etc. ]
