hmm i would say that an alligator/crocodile is the deadliest. Those things will attack you for no reason. Even if they just ate and are full they will try to kill you

Ok, let's leave the "Human" factor out of this question.

Mosquito, well yeah, it is responsible for more deaths than any other creature, however it does not kill outright, it just carries the organism responsible for Malaria, they are just carriers.

Of all creatures, the deadliest is definitely the smallest of all living creatures, the virus. Able to mutate very quickly, and are very difficult to kill, most viral diseases are incurable.

-Common Cold/Flu...Virus...No Cure...Deadly
-Hemmoragic Fevers...Virus...No Cure...Deadly
-Dengai Fever...Virus...No Cure...Deadly
-HIV/AIDS...Virus...No Cure...Deadly
-Ebola...Virus...no Cure...Deadly

See a pattern here. The demise of the Mountain Gorillas in Africa is blamed mostly on an uncontrolled spread of the Ebola Zaire Virus through it's populations. Entire Gorilla "clans" are being wiped out in a matter of weeks, sometimes faster. Poaching and loss of habitat are contributing, but these are not wiping out them out as fast as this virus.

Ok, let's assume that you are not considering a virus as an animal, then the most deadly creature on the planet due to it's venomous sting is the Box Jellyfish. When stung, an excruciating pain accompanied by severe burning around the sting occurs. The venom spreads quickly throughout the body and quickly effects the heart and nervous systems. Death, to a healthy adult human could come in, as little as, 4 minutes. This is faster than any other reptile, arachnid, mammal, or insect's venom making, it the deadliest.

Ok, you were not looking for venomous or poisonous creatures. Then the deadliest on the planet is debatable. These two creatures have both killed many people in Africa, but records are scattered, and many deaths that occur from these animals may not have been reported. These two animals are the Hippopotamus and the Cape Buffalo. Both animals are very aggressive, especially when threatened and will not hesitate to attack a human.

Ok, now the animal that I think is the most dangerous, meaning the one that a human would not stand a chance in an encounter. That is the Salt Water Crocodile. Although it kills less than the Hippo and Cape Buffalo, an encounter with this reptile would almost certainly end in the human's demise.

Now for the most destructive.

This is debatable, again we are leaving the human factor out of this. I think that African Elephants are capable of causing the most destruction. A rampaging herd of Elephants is capable, and often does cause great destruction in African Villages.

Although this is destruction to human property, they also are capable of uprooting trees, and entirely trampling entire fields and forests for miles, making growth there impossible for months, and even years.

Locusts and Grasshopper invasions are also very destructive. Leaving behind devastation wherever they go.

That is my answer!!!!!

The most deadly animal, outside the human, is the mosquitoes that transmit malaria. The most destructive are the termites.

Anopheles Mosquitoes

Don't know why johndeer went off about people answering this question with the answer of humans. It happens to be the truth. Humans are animals and humans are the most destructive and deadly animal on the planet. Reality is too much for some people to contemplate. Then he did not even venture a guess.

Deadliest? depends on the connotation. Infections from mosquito bites cause the most deaths worldwide. Sea snake venom will kill you in about ten seconds. A jaguar can bite right through your skull. Irokanji, a colorless jellyfish the size of your thumb, has a sting that takes three weeks to kill you and you die in excruciating pain. Hippos kill more people each year than alligators. If you classify a virus as an animal (some do) than Marburg virus turns your insides into goo in 7 to ten days. There is such a thing as a brain eating amoeba which does exactly as its name implies [i wish i were kidding.]

Most destructive? My favorite is the beaver. They can change an entire ecosystem. Locusts are nasty too. Swarms of them have resulted in total devastation. Rats. I hate rats.

Few animals are truly destructive. They all have an impact, but it is part of their ecosystem, and in their native environments it is part of the local balance.

Unfortunately, we are the exception. Human beings cause widespread generalised destruction of all natural habitats and kill far more wild organisms than we need to. No other single species has been the cause, directly and indirectly, of the extinction of so many, so varied and so widespread species.

That we know of.

Homo sapiens fits the bill perfectly. It is uncanny.

there are many animals that are deadly. the majority can be treated, but others cant. for example, the king cobra can kill in a half hour if not treated. the puffer fish has killer 1 of 8 every person who ate it. the orca has a very desieving name. the killer whale was named this because of its markings. it is accually very gentle. the only deaths it has caused was for food, only animals, and accidents when humans get get pulled in and the orcas start playing. just to hard for humans to handle.

Other than humans, my vote is for rats. Just think about the black plague and its effect on the size of human populations.

Humans.
Humans kill other humans and animals more than any other animal. Humans cause the most destruction on Earth.

You're welcome.
