I went to Andover High School located in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan and our crosstown rivals, who are literally only a few miles down the road, are Lahser High School. Andover is more of a school based on strong academics so our athletics are not that good. Lahser on the other hand always have excellent athletic teams. Andover did beat Lahser twice in football in the 2005 season. It was great. The Barons finished that season 10-2 which is by far the best season my school has ever had. In football we play for a traveling trophy (a sword) called The Sword.

My high school had three really intense rivalries (yes, three...all three were equally intense and equally bragged about in the offseason)...

We were the Reed-Custer Comets, and our rivals were:

Coal City Coalers
Wilmington Wildcats
Plano Reapers

Coal City beat us nearly year in and year out, but living only 5 miles apart, we beat the hell out of each other in the games.

The same applies to Wilmington.

As for Plano, our rivalry started when I was a sophomore and we beat them in triple overtime after overcoming a 20 some point deficit in the final 3 minutes of the game. Since then, games have been within a touchdown and highly contested.

Mira Mesa Marauders in San Diego

Our rivals are the cross-town Scripps Ranch Falcons. They're terrible and they're only a 3-minute drive away.

But, thanks to the wildfires this year, school and all athletic events of that week were cancelled, which was the week that we were scheduled to play them.

-CLOVIS WEST?! Sorry, can't root for you guys even though you guys are good. My cousins go to Buchanan and Clovis East.

When I was in High School back in Connecticut, NFA ( Norwich Free Acadomy) main rival was New London.

NFA was not a football school, but if we beat them it be a sucessful season, many season of with only one win, and if it happened tobe New London all the better
