I want to go to UCLA when i graduate with my best friend and my grades are pretty good right now [my lowest grade is an 84] but my friend is struggling in school and cant find motavation to do her homework.her grades arent horrible but she probably has a d. we really wanna get into the same college some where in the LA area. is there any chance we'll both get accepted?

Do you mean she has one D and all the rest are As, or do you mean that her average is a D? UCLA is extremely competitive, and even very good students have a hard time getting in, let alone a D student. Frankly, a D student can't get in anywhere other than a community college (assuming one can even graduate from high school that way).

It is actually not the best of ideas to bring your best friend from high school to college with you, because you will never fit into the college and get to know people if you arrive with your own built-in social circle. On top of that, it really sounds like you are not academically evenly matched, and it would be a serious shame if you held yourself back just so that the two of you could go to school together. I don't know if you both live in L.A. now, or if the idea is for the two of you to move to L.A. If the latter, she could go someplace like Santa Monica College (which is only a few miles away) while you go to a four-year school. If she does well for two years, she could then transfer to join you.
