Welcome to today's internet...where any un-educated, juvenile slimeball can plop down 400 bux at his local "Worst" Buy and live out his perverted fantasies online :-(

It is doubtful that this dude is capable of doing any kind of hacking.

A 'real' hacker would not be bothered and couldn't care less about seeing your cam pics.

A 'real' hacker is after the data on your computer, stuff that is worth money such as your credit card number, social security number etc. Your bandwidth and computing power is valuable too.

Most people today have a dynamic IP address that will change (lease expires) every 24 hours automatically.

If it would make you feel better, if you have an ISP supplied modem / router, one can often force an IP address change by turning the modem off for a full 5 minutes and then turning it back on again.

Good luck.

Please try and take more care with who you chat with.. If you do chat, don't ever give them your real name or any other personal info. You don't want to get hurt, become the victim of a stalker. I doubt if he can hack into your system. If you are really concerned, you can download the free version of "ThreatFire", (Zero Day Attacks). Will run in the background of your pc and stop any attack or changes to your system, like rootkits, memory, registry changes, without your permission. Stops attacks, before the virus/spyware people can write a signature for an attack.

Here is the link:

http://www.pctools.com They are out of Australia. (Search their web page for "Threat Fire", as they purchased the software from another company.

You will find on the right side of the webpage, will say
behavior-based security.

Nah he cannot hack you as long he don't know all of your personal information and do not go onto any link/website he has given you and make sure your secret question is hard to crack. If I was you I would just block and delete him and make sure you back up your contact list and if he ever manage to "hack" you, you can contact e.g msn if it is msn messenger and provide them some information and they will reset the password for you and they will know if you're the actual the person. So don't worry about it, have a nice day :)

Sounds like he's full of baloney. Assuming you are using a well known chat client you should be ok.

If you have a high speed connection (ie not dialup) I'd invest in a router if you don't have one. It goes between your computer and your DSL or Cable modem and basically blocks anybody from seeing you.
