I asked for help on this before but was told to replace the bulb. Well I took the light off the blower but can't find a way to get at the bulb. How the heck do I get at it? Oh it's a 81/2 hsp Yardman about 8 years old.

No way to get in the back of it that I can see.

Most of the headlights on snowblowers are sealed beam 12 volt lights. I am willing to bet the housing is rubber to absorb the shock and vibration of the running snowblower. It wil take some effort, but peel the rubber housing back from the bulb to replace the light.

Another thing to consider is that sometimes the ground wire will break due to vibration. Without a proper ground, your light will not operate. Check the wires going to your light to make sure there is a good solid connection.

Does the bulb socket twist out from the back of the light? 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
