You can't recover it . . . just reset it and configure it again. Make sure you have all the information you need (password for your ISP, IP addresses and ports you want, etc.) before you start because you won't be able to access the Internet until you set it up again. There are websites with instructions for router configuration . . . find one suited to your device.
Good luck!

You should be able to reset the router back to factory settings, which will include the default password and user name.
If you have your manual, look for the procedure in it. Or go online to the manufacturers sight and download the info on how to reset the router. There is often a very small hole on the bottom or back which you have to stick a small toothpick or pin into to reset to factory settings.

Haha, no issue. at the same time as the means is linked to the gadget carry the reset button on the back for about 7-10 seconds. the front status light fixtures might want to commence blinking. Login password should be reset to admin/admin All different prompt AP information/settings/protection will be cleared too.

After you reset it I would suggest you take a piece of masking tape put it on the bottom of the router and write all your info on it. Hell no one will see it but you. that way you always have your info.

You will have to reset it to the default. Go to the manufacturer's web site and there will be a reset function described in either the manual or the FAQ.
