You know what I am talking about...there should be a way to sue or something. If so, how or what would you need to prove it in court?

Me and him. No. I didn't know. He is showing people because that is how I found out. Someone hinted to me the other day. This is going to ruin me forever I am afraid. I don't sleep around, and this is killing me. I didn't treat him badly or anything. He ended up breaking up with me for an ex. If this gets around, I seriously don't think I can face anyone ever again. I don't know what to do.

Can you elaborate? Video of whom? With you or with someone else? I assume since you want to sue that it's a video of you? If you were a willing participant, probably not. If you did not know that he was taping, then you still may not have a case. I remember an incident where a stepfather was taking pictures with his webcam (he made it look as though it was turned off) of his step-daughter while she was undressing (without her knowledge) and sometimes of her doing things in the nude. To her horror, she found the pictures in his computer, took it to the authorities and the judge ruled that she had to GIVE THE PICTURES back to her stepfather because they were HIS pictures. It's stupid. But laws are changing now to protect victims of voyeurism as it's becoming wide spread with increasing technology. So my answer...you may or may not have a case depending on the laws where you live.

Possibly, but you are the one who would bear the burden of proof. There are a few tort actions that come to mind, and they vary from state to state. It also depends on how long ago the video was made. If this has happened to you, you should go and consult an attorney about it. You will have to deal with a Statute of Limitations.
