In 1814, we took a little trip
Along with Colonel Jackson down the mighty Mississip'.
We took a little bacon and we took a little beans
And we caught the bloody British in a town in New Orleans.

Weeeeeeee...fired our guns and the British kept a' comin'...There wasn't nigh as many as there was a while ago, We fired once more and they commenced ta' running,
On down the Missisippi to the Gulf a' Mexico,,
Ol Hickory said we could take em' by suprise if we didn't fire our muskets til we looked em in the eyes, So we held our fire til we seed their faces well, Then we opened up our squirrel guns and really gave em,
Well weeeeeee.......etc.

I have (had) seven brothers...they had armies and armies of those green plastic soldiers. When we were little they had that song blasting in the room and my mom would come in and sing that with a spoon in her hand...lmao!
