Proper spelling ensures one communicates the thoughts they are trying to communicate. If you can't spell, use the spell checker. It will find most of the more hideous spelling errors.

If you can't write you can't communicate. I read a question a few days back that was indecipherable. It was a single 79 word sentence with no punctuation. Really, if you don't care whether or not anyone understands you, go babble into your pillow.
