I am trying to burn a CD from a playlist I have made with iTunes. However, when I try to do that it keeps "initializing disc" for a LONG time- I mean for 45 minutes.. than I try to cancel and it won't let me... What am I doing wrong? and how can I burn this CD?

No, as quickly as a CD-R has been used, it won't be able to be reused. Why are you attempting to make countless copies of the playlist? it may no longer have worked for the reason it somewhat is unlawful (you could merely make 3 copies or some thing like that)... itunes has countless safeguards in place to guard copyright regulation.
